I received several prayer requests over the weekend and was very happy to pray for you!  I was reminded of how so many people think God has turned His back on them or even forgot about them.

God never turns His back on us nor does He forget us.

Allow me to ask you these questions.

  1. If you’re a parent, do you turn your back on your children?
  2. If you’re a parent, do you forget about your children?

As a parent, there are times when your children may have asked you questions and for some reason, you didn’t answer right away.  You had to “think about it” and then provide the best solution you could offer them.

Perhaps you’re in a situation where you’re asking God to help you with your finances, your health, a job, a challenge in business or when will Mr. or Miss right come along?  Just because He doesn’t answer you because you’re “anxious,” doesn’t mean He didn’t hear you or that He will never answer.

Get this: God does not turn His back on us NOR does He forget us. Period.  We just don’t get to choose when, how, why or what the answer will be!  Just because His answers are delayed, doesn’t mean He forgot you.

In Isaiah 55:8-9 it reads: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.  As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than Your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

God, is the ULTIMATE Parent

When we stop trying to put demands on Him because He’s God, you’ll discover that He answers in perfect time.  We don’t get to bargain with Him or give Him ultimatums.  The best way to handle that is to allow Him to be Who He is and to answer in His own timing.  That’s what faith means.  It’s why He desires us to have faith.  “It’s the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen.”  I believe when the answer is delayed, it’s how you go through the process (delay) that determines the outcome (answer.)

When our “stuff” is tore up from the floor up, He didn’t do it!  WE did.  Now because everything seems to be jacked up, we expect an immediate answer and remedy to fix it.  Uh, did you ask Him when you were in the mist of tearing it up? Who made the choice to get in a relationship that you probably knew wasn’t right for you in the beginning?  Who made the choice to spend money you knew you shouldn’t be spending in the beginning?  And so on and so forth…but, did you ask Him then?

It is so unfair when things seem so bad that we go to God and say, “Well if you’re who you say you are, I need to see, etc., etc., etc.”  Really?  And how would you respond to that if someone said that to you?  BUT, Praise God that His ways are not our ways… because I can’t imagine what would happen if He chose to turn His back and never answer like the world does.

We have got to STOP trying to put God in our little, tore up, self control created boxes!  He doesn’t fit!

The point I’m trying to make here without writing a book, is that God is the Creator of Love, Patience, Kindness, Peace, Self Control… right?  In my southern voice, “Yall, He ain’t like us!” He loves us unlike any other person would – without judgement!  He will and has made ways out of no ways.  He gives us food, shelter, clothing and so much more.  It’s His grace that we have those things… “not by my might, but by the Spirit of God!”

Shake the tantrum will you?

It’s why letting go and letting God is SO important!  That’s not a gimmick, it’s a solution.  When you don’t know what to do, God said to “cast all your cares to Him”, (1 Peter 5:7) not some, but ALL.  He said that, not me!  When you do that and trust Him and His will, He will do what no one else is capable of doing but, you’ve got to trust Him.  And get this, you can say it to me, your family and friends all day long that you trust Him… but HE knows just how much!

When Ruben was going through the last stages of cancer and preparing spiritually to leave this world, you can ask my family and they will tell you, that I didn’t care what they said to me about giving up!  Give up? My faith was not in this world!!! They were asking me to give up on my husband, the man I loved, my best-friend right when he needed my faith the most!   People, please!  I stood steadfast on God’s word! I desired His will without hesitation!  I desired what HE wanted and because I trusted His decision, He gave me a peace that is like nothing of this world TaylorOnly HE can do that.  Had it been any other way, I would have crumbled to pieces… BUT, I didn’t and it was all because:

  • I desired God’s will
  • I trusted Him 100%
  • I didn’t get weary in well doing
  • I had faith the size of a mustard seed
  • I knew HE would bring me through
  • and HE did!  Glory to God!!

And because of that, my husband is not “lost”, I know exactly where he is.  Praise God!

No one or nothing will ever separate me from the love and trust of and in God.  I’m a living witness to studying, having conversations with Him and trusting Him even when it hurt so bad… that His love is amazing grace!  I encourage you to seek God’s will, not just one time but at all times. Phil. 4:6  reads: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.”  #WhoYouWith?

God is no respector of persons, what He did for me… He will surely do for you… have faith and trust!

We’ll talk again soon,

I love you to everlasting life!
